Trainer Lauren Arredondo

Brandee For Sale

Lauren Arredondo began riding as a child in Warwick, New York and quickly moved along with her training and knowledge from the help of her membership to the Unites States Pony Club.  After having many experiences with Therapeutic Riding, Eventing, Fox Hunting, Show Jumping and Dressage, Lauren decided to narrow her scope and commit to the Hunter/Jumper world. She trained out of Fox Meadow Farm of Goshen, NY, Brook Edge Farm of Montgomery, NY and began training and selling Hunters out of Cedar Hill Farm of Sugarloaf, NY.  Competing up and down the East Coast, Lauren and her horses won many Champion and Reserve Champion awards at the H.I.T.S. show circuit, Hampton Classic and Gardnertown Farms Horse Shows.   She has mainly shown Thoroughbreds that had been race horses and turned them into show horses.

Lauren graduated from Clarkson University with a Bachelors of Science in Business and Technology Management. After college she realized the importance of a true dressage foundation.  Since then she has been starting horses with a dressage foundation and is continuing her dressage education and technique by training under a Prix St. Georges rider.

Because of where she grew up, Lauren has always loved riding outside, letting her horses be real horses.  Always placing well at hunter paces, and having fun on Fox Hunts made her realize how important these types of activities are to the horses she rides.  On the weekends you can find her somewhere on the property teaching kids the ins and outs of outdoor riding.  She also volunteers whenever she can by doing Equine Demonstrations for Girl Scouts, Church groups and more.

In October of 2008 Lauren began working out of Hilltop Farm and has established Hilltoppers Riding Academy. She specializes in Hunter/Jumpers and Dressage coaching having an extensive background in these two styles since 1991. Currently her clients range in age from four years old through fifty-plus and each client receives the devoted attention they deserve.  Her style is hands on and visual. Lauren takes her understanding of the human body and how it moves and applies that in her teaching to help the rider balance and to match their horse. Most of her riders are actively involved in the local show circuits.  She properly matches her students to upcoming shows so that her riders have fun and gain the knowledge and experience they personally need.   Shows range from schooling shows to “A” rated.  Although many of her students attend shows, it is not a requirement and some of her students are just in the program to better themselves, learn safer techniques and to just have fun!
